Representative Experience

Our Arbitration team has represented clients before the ICC, leading African and international arbitration centres, and the African Union on some of the continent’s most significant disputes

ICC Arbitration

acted as co-arbitrator in energy and construction disputes administered by the ICC International Court of Arbitration, with claim values up to EUR 90 million and USD 100 million, under a range of governing laws.

Institutional Appointments

 sat as presiding and co-arbitrator in proceedings administered by leading African and international centres, and is listed on arbitrator panels including the LCIA, CRCICA, AFSA, and the Mauritius and Shanghai centres

State-Owned Entity

acted as counsel for an Ethiopian state-owned entity in a turnkey project dispute in the agricultural sector.

Policy Advisory

advised the African Union on the ICSID Rules amendment process and contributed to the UN Economic Commission for Africa’s work on regional integration.
